AITES reaches out to community groups

In an effort to saturate her local community with information and to build "stokers", Judy Compton, the AITES trainer/consultant for Virginia and Kentucky presented to the Russell County, Virginia Rotary Club. Through the use of a newly developed AITES PR Kit, Rotary members in Russell County learned about Information Technology (IT) job opportunities in each community, the talent crisis the United States now faces in IT related jobs and about stereotypes and barriers that may prevent young students from choosing a career or job in IT.  Mrs. Compton challenged each rotary member to become a "stoker or supporter" in an effort to increase young girl's interest in IT related fields.
