Background: I enrolled at Forsyth Technical Community College and majored in Computer Programming. After a semester, I realized that my life would be living with computers and not with people, “my passion”. After six years of night school (new mom), I received an Associates’ Degree in Business Administration and a certificate in Computer Technologies. As a Training Assistant, I was afforded the opportunities for a Microsoft Certification and State of NC Training Certification. I now have the very best job in IT; teaching computer basics, software, VOIP phones and any other IT training opportunities that arise. Forsyth County employs approximately 2200 people and I am the Forsyth County MIS Training Specialist and supervise the MIS Staff Training and Development division.
